PC - Low Disk Space

My Pc at home has all of a sudden started going so slow and is saying it has 0% of available disk space on C:

I have tried add/remove programs but there's nothing out of the ordinary on there and I haven't added new programs lately.

I have tried the Task Manager 'performance' tab and it shows 100 cpu usage even though nothing is running ... the 'processes' tab has loads of things on it that i don't understand

Any ideas? :confused::confused:

Can you do a disk cleanup?
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

delete all your temp files in Explorer\Firefox, unwanted cookies and cache files, if its got to this stage I would consider investing in a bigger HD as well.

CCleaner should free up some space, maybe give the HD a defrag.

Can you give me the top 3 running processes?
Sounds to me like your computers infected with trojans (And the last one I had that was this bad, I ended up having to completely wipe the hard drive and start afresh!)

Download CCLEANER as marleyboy suggested (Once youve run a disc leanup, as without that i dont think your computer will allow anything on it! ~ right click C drive and run a cleanup first)

Run the top 2 scans ~ hopefully that will clean it up a little

As soon as youve space on the drive to use ~ download MALWAREBYTES

    UPDATE and FULL scan
Post the log it produces AFTER its deleted anything it finds so we can see how to proceed

First place to start is to make sure you empty your recycle bin!

After that - like mentioned above, clear your temporary internet files. These can take up tonnes of space.

no it won't let me do a disk cleanup although when it analyses how much space I can save, it's not a great deal as I use Ccleaner.

    the top processes are

    1. iexplore.exe 69,332k
    2. TeaTimer.exe 53,224k
    3. avgrsx.exe 50,136k
    4. explorer.exe 39,716k
