    Well at blotty last mot!
I have now spent since hier and big yaps avec toi trying to post my F!licitations to you, fab mummo of a Felicity, not to mention an Adam for whom I have also the highest regard(as is increasingly necessary, given the shrinking nature of one now just turned 60 and the growingness of young he-man.)
As we said, but I wish to state for public view, you have been through much in this last 5 years.
You have come through that and are continuing to do so.
You are shining with relevant experience and wisdom - no wonder they seized upon you and felt you were at last 'back' in their team as one who had merely popped away for a while.
It is wonderful, wonderful news and - I think - a rather special new path developing for you.

Julia, it was a serendipitous 'catch sight' that led me to you on this World Heritage Site that Martin has developed and I look forward to our meeting next week to celebrate(a little late)a 1st birthday of that friendship in person.

An additional blessing of the search for your job post is finding Olive Oyl, homealone and haleygrey and I have posted there, too.

Bless you all over agaon, mot - how lucky that NHS team will be to have you on board.

Remember, too, about Adam and Felicity doing a bit of cook/meal prep. now Mum's back at work.

My love to you all and it.

p.s. my now being 60 adds verisimilitude to the OPV letters of my car. reg - yes, Old Person's Vehicle leapt unbidden into my head and won't go away, try as I may to replace it with Outrageously Princessy Valetudinarian etc.etc.
    Hi Ampersand,

Its so good to have you back! Love reading your posts they exercise my facial muscles :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you for looking in on Olive, HG and Ha's threads and ......it was really good to chat last night, can't wait to see you xxx

  • I've recruited for somewhere similar, and I was not allowed to put anything in writing until the crb came back ok. Very frustrating for both of us, as I was really worried the potential employee would get a better offer, and they did not want to give notice until it was in writing, so we ended up with a really long delay. I phoned and very carefully said 'job is your's subject to reference and CRB clearance' AFTER having done verbal refs! They'll be really happy not to have to wait for you to work a notice period after the crb/refs are sorted.
I think it is quite common in this day and age for this to happen, so don't worry. You'll get a copy of the CRB at round about the same time that the NHS does, so you'll know its back and see its ok.

    Hope this helps

the NHS HR is not known for speed. It will be fine, they usually do not commit to a firm offer until the CRB check is done, but as you say you have no skeletons...

and well done. a new year and a new start.
Thank you dogrose, having worked for the private sector all my working life and who are pretty hot in getting letters of confirmation, contracts etc out asap I guess that I will have to get used to a more 'laid back' way working for a government institution!

I am really looking forward to this new career path as it is such a change for me and great to get away from the greed involved in working within New Homes and their desperation to make incredible profits.

How ironic! I have received the offer letter and documentation from the NHS this morning and have just spent a busy hour or so completing forms and making appointment to go through CRB forms with HR on Friday.

  • It is all moving now MOT and CRB'S should in theory be quicker now. Mine came back in under three weeks, but then again i have had to have three done in as many months for supply work..you would think a number and a quick check on the computer would be enough..but no, they have to get their pound of flesh..luckily only had to pay for one..phew!

    Have fun.x

Thanks BOB, thank goodness I don't have to pay for mine as they would have to wait forever ;);).

At home today with the twins - we're full of the 'lurgy', hot sweats, snotty noses and gravelly throats - now there's a lovely image for you :D:D

I have three of mine like that and Mr.B is snorting away..luckily DD1 is in Cornwall ..she is terrible when full of a cold. Hogs the sofa with duvet and kindly spreads her tissues everywhere( toilet roll as we are not posh enough for tissues)

    Hope they get better soon.:o

Don't know if it's the same, but I acquired something up in Scotland, endless sneezing and felt really foul, aching upper chest, too, which was scary enough to seek Dr help; then gave it to A which is scary, too. Had the drive back to France and did not relish it in condition I was then in - 10 days worth of horsepill amoxycillin did the trick. A cannot really share driving any more.
