Are you not advised to refrain from eating for a while after a "float"
I seem to remember that from my first one but been a while so I may be wrong.
Also it can seriously freak people out so may not have the desired effect - although personally I think they are brilliant - I love the experience
I think that's thinking "inside" the box ! Thanks.0 -
I would honestly really thank my wife for a meal at Martin Wisharts. We went for our 5th anniversary a few years ago & it really was wonderful & a great experience.
Otherwise what about a luxury cottage up north somewhere0 -
I wouldn't stay or eat at the Witchery. Not because it's not good, but not worth the money.
Far better food to be had around Edinburgh.
Glasshouse it a lovely hotel, you could stay there and eat out at a couple of places ?
Just wander around the Royal Mile area for the day, soak in Edinburgh and see what happens, they're ofen the best days****************************0 -
Does it have to be in Edinburgh?
If it's a romantic night away I can recommend none better than

It's in a beautiful setting with some fantastic rooms. I used to work at the stables there. The food is good too. Im not sure how expensive it is but it is deffo worth it.

Liberton Tower can be hired for the weekend - pretty reasonable in price, short drive to a good bus route into town, but it's a CASTLE and done up in 15th century furniture with a giant log fire (cellar full of wood to use FOC:money: ) and big sofa etc. Four poster bed, twin box beds in room next door. Walls about 5 feet thick so you can make as much noise as you like...;)
Stayed there a couple of years ago, it was truly fantastic - and unique - not just because of the thing that went bump in the middle of the night - (we weren't charged for the ghost - me and hubby both heard it - and he's as skeptical as they come. )
It also has underfloor heating and a fully equipped kitchen , so it's not completely 15th century.
