I have arthritis and got DLA for 2 years. I had to re-apply, got turned down so sppealed and lost. Couldn't face taking it any further. Applied again 2 years ago and turned down again so again I asked them to look at it again but still turned down. I really don't think I can face trying again. I had to giv up work (15 hrs a week) because I couldn't be relied upon for doing these hours. OH works full time but he does such alot for me cooking family meals, cleaning low areas and up high, places I can't manage to get to.
It pleases me to hear that someone has had luck getting DLA for arthritis as they do deserve it but more often than not these claims get chucked out. There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -
still waiting formy renewal, it runs out end of february phoned DLA yesterday, theyarent bothering to contact my doctor this time they said its just gone straight to the dicision maker as only thing thats changed is my meds have been quadrupled what i take and a lot more potent, hopefully thats a good sign and it might just get the green light of approval soon, i hate the wait. I have osteoarthritis but also had both knees replaced in my twenties and hips are soon to be next, i suppose mine might be a severe case i dont know0
