I've set the Co-op one up over the phone (didn't realise you could before last night) and its all been accepted so I should have the paperwork by the end of the week.
Next I am just waiting for the office to get loud so I can make an undetected call to the courts (my office in the toilet is currently occupied)Money, money, money. Must be funny, in a rich man's world. :rolleyes:0 -

Great news about the Co-op ..... Well done. They are marvellous IMO.

So I think I am making so head way.
Finally got through to the right court - my local one doesn't deal with BR so got the run around a bit.
The kind woman on the phone advised the current waiting time is about 2 weeks.
So I just wanted to check with y'all that this sounded like a good plan of action....
1) Finish off the online forms (got a bit stumped at where I put in details of my car as it says to put in Q3.1 but couldn't find relevant catagory so gave up last night)
2) Get my next pay at the end of the month and disability living allowance paid into my new Co-Op account (if they give me the account details in time)
3) Take ALL the money out of my Lloyds account
4) Then ring the court to arrange an appointment to meet the BR clerk
Anything I could have missed?
Are you all finding that it is about a 2 week wait at the mo?Money, money, money. Must be funny, in a rich man's world. :rolleyes:0 -
Marlowvian,
You are really making headway now.....
Put your car details under plant, machinery etc in 3.1 and then again later when it asks for car details.
Don't know how but when mine printed off the form plant and machinery had changed to motor car details!
As Paul Daniels would say....

Hi
Sorry to gatecrash this thread, :-)
I have filled in all my forms etc and have my appointment for the 22nd of Jan eeekkkkkk!!!
But I havent yet opened another account, I currently have a standard Nationwide account where my salary is paid into. (which I have put on the BR forms)
Shall I open a Co-op account and tell my company to put the money into this account instead? Will the OR not think its abit strange that there wont be no salary paid into the account? I get paid onthe 23rd.. :-(
I also will be getting a bonus this month, which I get once a year (I havent got a clue how much for) but this will also be taken off of me aswel wont it??
So much stuff going round my head at the moment, havent slept in days0 -

Don't worry about gatcrashing. I am going through the same thing at the mo and havent slept well either.
You need to get a new account set up as your Nationwide is likely to be frozen.
As I was correctly advised (thanks) above you can go for a Barclays one (if you have 4/5 weeks apparently, which you don't) or the Co-op one (1/2 weeks)
Ring the Co-Op on 08457212212 to set up a Cashminder account. It will take approx 17 mins if you have the same bird I spoke to who I had to spell everything out for ("No HILL as in top of the Hill not KING as in Queen" that was a great conversation made from the depths of the toilet cubicle this morning)
sorry I digress....
No OR won't think its strange as you need a bank account and there are only 2 you can go forMoney, money, money. Must be funny, in a rich man's world. :rolleyes:0 -

Explain to the OR that you have opened it for use after BR.

Depends on how much it is and whether or not you have been discharged by then - it's a possibility!
So much stuff going round my head at the moment, havent slept in days
Lots of us feel that way....
Hope this helps.....

Who will I have to give the the new account details to?
You are welcome.
Your employer so that they can put your pay into there and I imagine it needs to go on the forms somewhere.
I will give you a shout when I get to that bit if you want.
Let us know if you need any more help. There's loads of us going through this at the same time and the forum has probably saved my lifeMoney, money, money. Must be funny, in a rich man's world. :rolleyes:0
