Great Best Places To Haggle Hunt

I recently haggled with Comet when buying a computer, monitor and 37" lcd tv from them. When I first went in the tv was £104 cheaper online than in store. The agreed immediately that they would match their internet price, and once I mentioned that I would take out a 5 year warranty, they agreed another £75 off. I then went home and ordered Comet vouchers from the Virgin Credit Card members shop with a 13% discount. By the time I went back into Comet nearly a week later, the internet price had dropped and was now £144 cheaper. They agreed to still match the internet price and still give me the £75 off (although he did consider recalculating the £75 amount as it was based on the original internet price of the tv, but in the end decided to let it go). In the end I got items costing £1,330 instore for £957 so was quite pleased with that.
However, I now need to cancel the warranty within 45 days. The leaflet they gave me says that you have to go back instore to do this - I obviously don't want to do this in case I see the same salesperson as before and have a big upset about the discount they gave me. Does anyone know whether there is an alternative way of cancelling the warranty please?
Furthermore, are there any Comet salespeople out there who can tell me whether the salespeople get their commission pretty quickly on the warranties? If they get it within, say, 4 weeks I would wait until just after this time before cancelling the warranty as the salesperson was very helpful and I would like to think she still got her commission on the deal. (I presume that they wouldn't have to refund their commission to Comet if someone cancels the warranty after they have had their commission for it).0 -
