ticket touts are evil. I understand people that have to sell tickets due to friends pulling out and there's nothing wrong with that, but deliberately buying tickets denying fans of them and making true fans have to pay double is just wrong.0

I can see this from both sides of the argument. But in my opinion there's little wrong with someone trying to make a little money for themselves by selling these tickets on eBay. Legitimate fans should not miss out, this is true but I would think there's a cap on the amount of tickets one person can buy so this will combat the problem in a way.
The fact is that all business is like this, I agree with a comment made earlier. All businesses provide a service/product at a price that gives them a profit.
The buyers do make the price in this sort of situation and without these 'touts' perhaps people would not be able to purchase tickets and so miss out altogether, irrelevant of cost.Stuff Happens As Wave of Ambiguity Spreads:cool:0 -
And it prevents fans actually getting to see the bands/festival they want to see because the ticket lines/sites are jammed with touts who have several credit cards for making huge profits.
Totally unfair.

ticket touts are evil? :S
we've all got to make a buck in this world. The holyier that thou attitude displayed by posters on this board reeks of hipocracy, im sure they would never make a profit on anything they sell on ebay, all just market value and all that?. In many cases this is the only way "real fans" will get to see the band, im sure 90% are happy paying through ebay. Well done to the OP for showing a bit of originality of thought. Asides from the arguing....
If someone was to purchase tickets (for example to Bon Jovi at Wembley Arena) when would be the best time to sell these on ebay?0 -

For example I bought 2 pairs of robbie williams tickets at £100 a pair and then sold them for £200 a pair ( £200 profit ) this event sold out in ten minutes so you can imagine how many people were looking on ebay for them....
