Easy student money....

Fellow students....
Registered just to tell you a way to make v.easy money.....
Very simply me and my housemates have collectively made over 5k by buying and selling music tickets over ebay...
All you do is buy as many tickets as you an afford for a gig that you know will sell out ( my recent buys have been robbie williams, oasis, kanye west, strokes, and take that) then wack them on ebay....
https://www.seetickets.com and https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk are the best ones around....
The tickets usually come on sale at 9am, so you need to be on at 8.55 repeatedly clicking refresh to make sure you get some.
For example I bought 2 pairs of robbie williams tickets at £100 a pair and then sold them for £200 a pair ( £200 profit ) this event sold out in ten minutes so you can imagine how many people were looking on ebay for them....
Not all gigs make this much profit, and you have to use your common sense on which ones you think will sell out, I have had 1 experience where i bought a pair of kaiser chiefs tickets but they didn't sell out, but bizarrely still made £5 profit!
Also, the choice of venues and days are important, obviously although the rrp for a sat night gig and a tue night gig are the same, if you get the sat tickets you will make much more profit. Also venues like hammersmith apollo will sell out much quicker than a big arena like the M.E.N (mancheser).
When you post the tickets out to the buyer post special delivery so if they get lost you have proof....
have fun!

That's ticket touting.

Theyre not the only ones though. There are thousands of people on ebay doing it.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

its also illegal and breaking the t&c on the back of the tickets if they come from seetickets/wayahead:A Boots Tart :A0

hopefully one day this ridiculous practice will be completely outlawed.0

ticket touts on ebay are no better than greasy haired creepy men outside gig venues.:A Boots Tart :A0

I personally dont think they should band the sale of tickets on ebay. Recently I had 2 tickets to see The manic Street Preachers. Then a hospital appointment I'd been waiting ages for turned up on the same day. So I sold the tickets on ebay. I had a genuine reason for selling them and it wasnt to make a profit, but just to get my money back and not let them go to waste. What will happen to the right to be able to do this if they ban the sale of tickets?2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

but ebay is far too easy to abuse for profit. there should be more websites like http://www.scarletmist.com/infopoint.asp who help sellers and buyers meet up to buy/sell tickets at FACE VALUE only.:A Boots Tart :A0

If people are willing to pay for them it's their problem. Hardly the sellers fault.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

at the end of the day - whats the difference between this and buying wholesale / importing?? an item is worth what someone is willing to pay. if there is an oppotunity to make money then why not?0

this kind of mentality is based on the fact that people will be able to chose how to buy tickets.
however lets take glastonbury tickets. every year me and my partner fight and fight and fight for tickets, trying to get through to the ticket line clogged with ticket touts. a legitimate customer shouldnt lose out to a tout, and when ive had to sell a ticket (always at face value) i try and do so to a fan, not a tout.
ps i doubt you sell for profit black saturn, but the OP is obviously intending to do so, as well as encouraging other people to. the worst must be those who sell tickets at 'buy now' prices which are 3 or 4 times the face value.:A Boots Tart :A0
