You will just need contents insurance.
Don't always go for the cheapest. Make sure the policy suits your requirements.
You need single item insure for jewellery. Items are listed and have a recent valuation certificate. A £2000 ring will need some kind of paperwork and the insurance company should be made aware of it.
(eg: One of my rings had doubled in value in just under five years.)£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

well it seems to suit all that we need, it covers all the basic's and a little more, i have added the jewellery as a single item at £2000.
What do you mean the ring will need some kind of paper work? meaning i will need to supply the insurers a copy of value or something?0 -

The receipt saying how much you paid for it or a valuation and ring description from a jewellers. It normally tells you the type, size, clarity of the stones, style of the ring and value.
I have the later and it is advisable to have the jewellery revalued every five or six years. (Not cheap.)
I have never been asked to give the insurance company a copy, but when I had to make a claim recently I just sent them a copy of the valuation.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4
