i dont mean thats what it costs to scrap i mean thats what i would get for scrapping it at a scrap yard my dad works as a scrapman.

and if it costs them £250 why bother taking my car then if its not worth more than that

It would cost £250 if taking vehicle to sell, and as worth £300 might make a loss at auction. Suspect they might scrap which would cost them nothing.
  • but why scrap if she wants to keep it no benefit to the or or to the creditors

    Mystery to me too
  • what so it wouldnt cost them anything to collect and scrap the car then as if i run it in to the scrap yard myself id get around £80 unless i stripped it down.

im trying to get an idea how much to offer them and whever they will call my bluff if i dont go any higher than £80 and say take it then

Just a thought, but maybe so they can remove anything from the car from her SOA?? If it's all benefits they won't get anything anyway, but that might be why they are doing it.
