hi there we went bankrupt last week and since then i have been off work with a bad chest infection so no pay either
back to the drift!
we are thinking that they will take one of our cars from us
m reg 1ltr ax paid 100 quid for it last year for a cheap run to work and back.
r reg ford galaxy rear quarter panel damage but 7 seats so space for 2 adults and 3 baby seats with pram etc paid 600 for it earlier last year
we feel the or may take at least the ax because it would be the least needed as i can use the galaxy for work and shopping etc
if i rang the or up and asked permission to sell the ax because we need the money to pay the rent (bankrupt fees were a shock as we thought exempt ex160 meant all of it LOL
) and couldnt make the fees up without raiding the rent fund.
interview is not till the 19th so should i wait to the phone interview or what???
my auntie has said she will buy back the ax if it is offered but just dont know what to do for the best really.
cheers
dave

I can't see they'd take either myself. They're both well below the amount that interests them (£2500 if memory serves me right). I think you'll be fine!0
-
nope mines £300 and they want that. i have to wait for the company to contact me to make them an offer.
it costs about £500 to take the car and £80 for scrapIf you want to see the rainbow ,you gotta put up with some rain0 -
Well isn't that ridiculous. Sorry to mislead.
I thought the rules on this were pretty clear.0 -
i read a post on here the other day and it was more to do with the need rather than the value someone had a 350 pound saxo taken???!!!! mainly because it was not needed for work.
however i cannot get to work in time using buses etc and a taxi is 8 quid each way i have to be there for 7.45 am each morning
we have a 4 yr old 3 yr old and a 10 month old so to do anything as a family need something big enough for the 3 baby seats
there just doesnt seem to any rhyme or reason to their actions what is the word ...
consistancy thats it.

think thats me your talking about citroen saxo parkers guide £300-£400 but aliot of work needed to get through next MOT. as im a carer for my nan but i dont get paid for it its not classed as a job so car has to go. i have a 2 1/2yr old and a 4mth old and my nan relies on me for taking her to her hospital appointments as she cant get out alone and go very far but they class it as wanting the car not needing it
so depends on the OR reallyIf you want to see the rainbow ,you gotta put up with some rain0 -
I think there must be an argument for being a complete and utter waste of time taking a low value car. Once they've collected it and sold it, what's going to be left? Can you not make them an offer?0
-
they will be out of pocket as the car needs work doing, the body work is ok but its mechanicle work that needs doing
yeah im going to make an offer but im only offering what it costs for scrap. as i do really need it as without a car i cant take my nan to her appointments so will have to make other arrangements untill i can get another car.
i know it makes no sense but im obviously being made an example to others then really aint iIf you want to see the rainbow ,you gotta put up with some rain0 -
It does seem like there's a lot left to the mood your OR is on a certain day. I'm just glad my OR wasn't my mum then!0
