Just went this weekend. I last went 4 years ago and it was great fun for the 5,7,9,11 yr olds we took with us as the main event was interactive throughout with buttons to push everywhere-especially the "chocolate factory" at the end.

The building in the playpark was a cadbury parrot adventure with buttons to push to make wind and fun like that.

Went on Saturday and it was sooooooo dull. Most interactive stuff in the main attraction had been taken out. The 2 interactive things at the end were jumping on the floor to split chocolate and "catching" chocolate rain. The building by the playpark had turned into another lecture about how chocolate was made and the liquid chocolate you used to have in the main part had moved out there.

Was a complete pile of pap. Huge waste of money I think unless you want to know the history of chocolate. My 2 under 5s were bored stiff-one of them even falling asleep on the floor as we watched the old cadbury adverts.

Don't waste your money! Go to Drayton Manor or Twin lakes instead and buy lots of chocolate to take with you! Far more fun!!!!!

Cadburys World is worth a day out. It won't be a full day out but a good 3 to 4 hours.

Don't pay, but use Tesco Vouchers. Don't prebook but turn up 10 minutes before they open. When we went, everyone who had prebooked had to queue to collect their passes. We walked straight in via the cash admissions desks! Only prebook if you intend turning up later after lunch.

Then a weekend in London would be a far better option, far more fun to be had. More to do, easier to get around and chocolate shops everywhere to buy Cadburys.

  • We live about an hour away and took our kids with a group of friends and their kids. It cost us about £25 and we had a coupon so the kids went in free. I would definitely not go again, I felt robbed of my £25. The Cocoa Bean ride is like a !!!!py rip off of the Disney It's A Small World ride with cocoa beans dressed up in dusty costumes instead of dolls. You don't get much at all in the way of samples (a curly wurly, a small packet of buttons and a small dairy milk - maybe £1 worth). When we went the factory was closed as well so we walked around and stared at stationary and empty conveyor belts although I think even if they had been operational it wouldn't have been all that interesting. Everything is really expensive in there as well (I know you have to expect that in places like this).

Between us we took 9 kids and every one of them said afterwards that their favourite part was the playground at the end. The playground was free entry.
