I've been told that because I am low risk and going to be midwife led the most they'll let me go over is 14 days although what they'd do if I wanted to wait longer I don't know - tie me to a bed and force inducement (induction?) on me?
If you really insisted on NOT being induced, they can't force you - athough they might insist on you being in hospital so they can monitor bean, as I think the placenta can become less efficient if you go more than 42 weeks (not sure about this, just vaguely remember being told something about it when I was 2 weeks late with Ryan and they wanted to induce him).

    Thanks.

I'm thinking I'll be so desparate to get Bean out if it goes that late that I'll be more than happy to go with their advice... Still crossing everything (except legs:p ) for an early one though:rolleyes:

If I was higher risk, and cinsultant led, they'd be looking to induce after just 10 days...

I've got a Team Leader Review and some tests at the hospital tomorrow (more monitoring re liver and thyroid and protein etc) so may ask then just to see what they say.

BTW - Bean is pretty much all I can think about right now so if I'm sending you all to sleep with the baby chat tell me to shut up:rolleyes:.

(Oh - and if you want to know what and when sooner rather than later I'll need a mobile number as my Blackberry has died so I can't email and Jinky's number was on it so I've lost that too...)

I went 19 days over with DD1 (they wouldn't believe my dates) and 15 days over with DD2 - both induced in the end.

DD1's placenta had given up and she was lucky to be alive - I did keep telling them my dates were correct but the scan said different - my consultant did actually come to the house and apologise after he'd read my notes.

    Morning all btw :j

Looking at the bright blue skies you'd hardly believe how heavy the rain was here this morning...

ok my take on the days discussions....

My DD3 was in bed with me last night, but I do it on purpose so I don't feel like I am sharing a bed with an octopus....the joys of having a weekend only OH I suppose!!

All my babies were 10 days late....I was begging to be induced at the end. All mine were biggish babies...Chloe was induced two weeks early because of my SPD and it was horrendous....

I am going running after work tonight, I thought I was having a heart attack yesterday so tonight will be a slow comfortable run.

And today my immediate boss is informing the partners that I WILL be going part time to 3 days per week from 1st Feb....:T I can't wait...

Good news on the PT working Sammy.

Well today I have done mostly nothing other than delete old PMs and drink tea... Off to Mothercare to see what they've got in by way of PJs for my hospital bag. Kind of wondering what I need - all the lists online seem so loooooooooooong for a day or 2!

    So far I have
    Maternity pads
    Breast pads
    nappies
    babygros, mitts, hat and socks,

    What's missing???? Heaps probably:o

BB makes me tired too... or at least feel incredibly lazy...

thing is, most of it isn't earning me any money! I've done an hour on AQA inbetween bits so far today which has earned me about £7

Going to try to get a couple of hours in now. My aprons are ironed, ingredients chopped, bags and paperwork all sorted.
