Tips for post bankruptcy.

Look after both your physical and mental health. Most people prior to bankruptcy let themselves get run down or ill to one degree or another. Once you are bankrupt, you no longer need to worry about your creditors. Make it a plan to eat well, sleep well and exercise. The only piece of sound advice we can offer is to be totally straight with your Official receiver as this may be your only chance to stop looking over your shoulder or worrying what the next post will bring or even every knock at the door. there is every chance that you will be discharged early if you are completely honest. My OH went BR in November 2008 and after the initial scaryness of it all, it is the best thing we ever did.
Keep your chins up (in my case!!) and remember that is always a light at the end of the tunnel Its not always a train!!.;)
I totally agree to both posts....We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
Keep a daily spreadsheet of you income and expenditure - if you are using a Co-op account, often money is 'delayed' coming in and going out. If you run a daily spreadsheet - just saying Shopping -£45.00, Wages +£450, etc as a type of list you can see at a glance exactly how much money you have really in your account. It helps avoid those DD worries, and the potential strikes that Co-Op hand out.Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

Thats a bit like me at this moment. I havn't been out my bike for a week and my skin and eyes are in a bad state. I think I may have to visitt the doctor ,he knows I am a little stressed out, my original doctor has now gone and he was great I taught all his 4 kids to drive and he helped me alot in the past, shame he's not there now just when I need him again.
Hopefully when this sorry saga is complete things will calm downBetter to be poor than a slave to wealth

The thing that's saved me most money of all is using supermarket saver's brands. Serious money saving to be had there.Come ride with me, through the veins of history...

The best bit of advice i can say is sharing your problems on this forum, it helped me out no end, i think all the debt charities and CAB should point people towards it. I'm not sure where i would be now had i not stumbled across this forum 13months ago and started asking questions.
There is so much mis-information about boing BR out there its unbelievable, its about time the BBC actually properly researched it before they talk bullsh#t all the time.Life is like a game of Snakes & Ladders, i almost made it to the top but now i'm at the bottom again and its a very long ladder to the top. I had it all and now its gone
Well my 6 years are now up, now to start to rebuild my life again

Have a go at growing some of your own herbs and vegetables
. There is nothing like seeing and eating the fruits of your labours. It's also great to get the kids interested in thier food as well and it's free entertainment:). You don't have to have a huge garden to get started, just a few pots on the patio can do and even a balcony or window box.
Have a read of the Greenfingered Moneysavers Board.
