I've just heard that the tv license is going up again to over £130 up more than inflation. I have always paid mine and have paid them by monthly direct debit for the last few years but I'm now thinking I don't know if I can keep up with this its so expensive. Why the HELL do they still have it and why do we have to pay it?
Thanx

Grrrrrrrrrrr Kaplinsky really annoys me too. Everything she says sounds overly sarcastic.
It's going up tp £131.50.
I'd happily take part in a mass not-paying-up protest. If only we could organise one (Martin?)

... this is the main reason I got rid of my TV 2 years ago. Paying to watch channels I didn't watch.
Thank $deity I don't have to pay to listen to the radio....Conjugating the verb 'to be":

I'm quite happy to pay the licence fee, especially for the very excellent bbc.co.uk servie along with some fantastic radio stations."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

Personally I wish they would do away with the TV license .. it has served its purpose but it is nice not to have to watch hundreds of rubbish adverts. When you consider many people with digital TV pay upwards of £600 per year. If the BBC did away with the license would it then rely on advertising or encrypt all its stations forcing people to pay?
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0
