No laptop

Any advice for my son? He got a phone contract from Tmobile through JAG shop but no laptop has arrived as promised and shop is now shut. JAG are very unhelpful. Should he just cancel contract as surely they're in breach of contract? He's been told not to by friend but what can he do? CAB said nothing much either.

I have no clue who JAG is but the laptop is an incentive from that shop. CPW do these offers and you will notice they are subject to availability so they're not guaranteed anyway. He still has his contract with Tmobile and they're not breaching any terms and conditions because it wasn't them that offered the laptop.

But he wouldn't have taken contract out without laptop. Surely there is something he can do.

cancel contract within 14 days and send everything back.

my guess is JAG are stalling knowing that after 14 days u are 'locked in' for the duration of the contract...

basically they have no intention of giving out free laptops.

if there was a delay they woulda told u at the time or ordering.

I hope you're wrong but I think there may be something in this as any delay plays into their hands

7 day distance selling does not apply to delas made in person. This is therefore unlikely to cover you for cancelation of contract. (unless order accepted over phone/internet)
