Hi all, just want to get this off my chest as I'm not sure where to complain to.... I had a new chinese menu through my letter box, and decided to give it a go. It took me a few tries to get through, which I found out that each time I got their answerphone it was charging me 13p connection to say I couldn't speak to them (or leave a message). When I eventually got through I ordered my food and was told it would be 30 - 45 mins. pretty standard. When an hour and 15 mins later it still hadn't arrived I rang again (again costing me again and again to get through to their message saying they were busy, I've spent about £4 on my mobile listening to their machine this evening), only to be told they were on their way. 20 mins later they arrived hurrah! But by this time I was hungry and grumpy and decided to tell the delivery man that I'd been waiting an hour and 35 mins for my food, he kept grinning inanely at me through my rant, and then it became very clear he couldn't understand a word of english. I wanted at least some form of apology to appease me, so I rang what was given to be their head office number (it's a national chain chinese), which actually turned out to be an 087 number based less than a mile from me (or so they said) the woman was pleasant enough answering the phone, when I asked if it was head office I had gotten through to , she told me no, and where it was I had rang, I said well do you have head office number please I would like to make a complaint, she soon recessed into speaking nothing other than I know nothing. I could get no other sense out of her until she said bye and put the telephone down. Now a simple apology about the delay would have placated me, I wouldn't have used them again, but the complete shambles of all this has wound me right up, and I can't find whom to complain to. I have googled the compny name, and found lots of branches, but no hq details.....

grrrr  what do I do?!?!

I stick to a Chinese I know, mainly because OH's school friend runs it.

We ordered some food the other week, got it home and ate it. It was ok but not as nice as usual. Later that night the guy called us and said they had forgotten to put some spices in so it wouldnt have been as nice. He apologised and we ate free the week after.

    Cant beat service like that!
