I'm in, not too bad a week, full day meeting Thursday in a posh hotel so think I will need a new shirt, arguing if I should treat myself or not with myself.....:o as those on FB will no doubt notice. Been on FB today going through loads of application thingies, didn't realise there was loads waiting so sorry to those who have sent them and double sorry to those who received loads of junk off me today :rotfl:
House is needing general tidy up/clean, bedrooms still not right but DS1s room is worse so I think my major focus of attention will need to be his room! One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Thanks for the new list pigpen. I doubt I will achieve it but even a little is better than nothingWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0

Monday - living room/hall/stairs
Level One
Declutter the living room , hallway and stairs Hall way and stairs are still clear  room, only my corner needs doing again. Going to have to chuck more out.
[STRIKE]Clear and tidy the mantle[/STRIKE]
Level Two
Vacuum the cleared floors and up the stairs.. under furniture if you can move it safely!
Sort through coats and shoes and bag:eek::eek::eek: I have to be able to get into the coat cupboard first.
Sort through the drawer or cupboard that you stuff junk in! Good idea.
Level Three
[STRIKE]Check smoke alarms.. change any batteries that need doing[/STRIKE]
Sort the understair cupboard/mess as above cnt even get in it.
Dust the flat surfaces
Extras- Make an appointment for some ME-time.. go get your hair done, half an hour shopping, coffee with a friend..
- [STRIKE]Wash the windows in these rooms[/STRIKE]
- wipe all the stairs edges/spindles/handrails etc up the stairs
- [STRIKE]Wash any soft furnishings that are in need![/STRIKE]
Might have to get into the coat cupboard but might need some safety gear and a team of search and rescue to find me again. :rotfl:
Question? If there are things in the back of the cupboard that have not seen the light of day for months and are not though about should I stop keeping them and finally bin them?

Evening all,
Thanks for missing me Toots and Froddington! As you can see, computer seems to be working for the moment. OH and my Dad tried out the old network card (which AOL tech support claimed was corrupted and therefore stopping us connecting) in my Dad's computer, and it worked perfectly, so we can only conclude that it is the router that is the cause of our problems. Since bringing the computer home, OH has tried changing which port the router is plugged into or something and it seems to have worked. Keep your fingers crossed though that I don't get stranded again!
I've missed all of you and I'm very upset that I've missed out on the HHCs with company - it's not the same doing them on your own.
We went to the big B&Q depot this afternoon and we looked at loads of things, and OH got some boarding for the loft and ordered the loft insulation there too as they come out and install it as part of the price (£208 including the £10 delivery charge). They only let us use the voucher greenbee gave us on the boarding for some reason (I think because the loft insulation is classified as a service) but we still saved £23 on the boards so thanks greenbee. I was kicking myself after we got home though, cos after all of my looking round, I completely forgot to look out for washing lines whilst we were there!
Another positive thing that happened today, is that I made another bread and butter pudding yesterday, this time using the one cooking apple I had left and a blob of leftover mincemeat in each portion of pudding. I took some round to have at my M&D's and my Mum loved it, and my sister liked it too. My Mum has instructed me to bring her another portion over next time I make one.I nearly forgot - I made toad in the hole successfully for the first time ever on Thursday and it was great! I used the lincolnshire cauldron (veggie) sausages. In the past I tried to make one and the batter didn't really work too well, so I was really pleased and OH said it was way better than the shop-bought ones.
Well I think the washing machine has just finished so I'd best go and put it all in the tumble dryer (outside in the cold dark garage) before having a nice cup of tea to warm me up again.
Best stop waffling,

Quite a dull day today, as I have had to spend it doing planning for next week, and the units are not the most interesting. Year 7, learning to tell the time (and the textbook still has pictures of clocks with hands despite the fact that none of the children ever seem to have a clue as they all have digital watches/phones etc.) Year 9 comparative adjectives, taller than smaller than - which will probably end in fisticuffs, as they make fun of all the smaller ones...sigh. Oh well, it's only two days after all!
I can relate to this - when DD2 was having an eye test some years ago the nurse at the clinic showed her these line drawings, she declared that she had bad eyesight as she said that the phone (old fashioned one with a handset on top) was a piece of toast!!! I thought it was quite inspired but when I explained that she had only ever seen push button phones the nurse suggested in no uncertain terms that I was an unfit mother for letting my child run arround half blind:eek: and that was about 17 years ago:D0 -

Quick post to say I'm in. I've read nothing since last night so I have no idea if anything exciting/interesting has happened and I'm going off again now, but Hi and Bye anyway! See you tomorrow probably.....0
