According to this, about 6kwh a day:

I think our plumber said about our neighbours would save a pound a week getting rid of their boiler with a pilot light. Not sure how accurate that was.
  • 4cu mper day=about 360 per quarter=about 250pounds just for the pilot light that doesnt include heating and cooking

Perhaps you could knock down some walls, move the sitting room to surround the boiler and it's pilot light, don carbon monoxide masks and toast marshmallows and naans?

Not helpful. Sorry. (What does your pilot light look like? Does it look as if it may be using this much?)
  • pilot light looks normal its not a flame thrower ihave only had this usage problem since BG changedthe meter to a metric one

How much were you using on the old meter? The meter doesn't use any gas, so it wouldn't affect how much your pilot light uses.
You're not reading the decimal places are you? Only use the first 5 numbers from the left. (sorry if it sounds patronising, just wanting to cover all bases)
  • i'm reading the meter correctly it is using 4 cm3per day just on the pilot

4cm3 or 4m3? 4cm3 sounds a bit low based on the maths above (1cm3= 0.0001m3), but 4m3 sounds high.
How much are you using normally?
  • sorry! 4m3

Ignore my maths above, it's even smaller than that. The more I thought about it the more I thought I was wrong.
You get 3 decimal places on a metric meter, so wouldn't be able to see cm3 anyway.
    Doh.
