For Gold cutomers, interest rates are now changing as follows:

You will now earn 3.00% AER (2.96% Gross p.a.) on the money held in your savings account. This change takes effect on 29 January 2009.

However, from 5 March 2009, the rate paid will be based on the total balance held in your account and 3.00% AER (2.96% Gross p.a.) will be paid on balances between £500-10,000. For balances above and below this amount the rate will be 1.00% AER (1.00% Gross p.a.). [/FONT]

Not totally bad considering the circumstances, but also not something to queue up for.
