Which Credit Card?

I'm after getting a credit card to pay for a holiday, as it has to be paid up front. And will be paying it off over 6months, but don't want to have to pay interest on it, but want the protection from the credit card due to having to pay in full for the holiday.
Which Card would be best?
Thanks in advance

I kinda feel that you should be thinking more along the lines of NOT taking out a credit card, and NOT taking a holiday if you cannot really afford it..... Sorry if you don't like that response, but you are just putting yourself into debt by doing this...
Why not save for six months and THEN book the holiday. No credit. No debt. No hassles!!!0 -
Thanks for the repsonse, all changed no need for credit card afterall0

If no interest is being charged I don't see any problem with buying the holiday now and benefiting from a 0% promotion.
Besides I would still pay for part of the holiday on a Credit Card to benefit from Section 75 protection on the entire purchase.0 -

Damned! How do you decide which ones to apply for.
Is it true that if you apply for several, then it will impact negatively on your credit rating?Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -
Yeah, because if you need a credit car pretty soon, then it that respect it makes sense that you should apply for several, as some can take (much) longer than others.
One more thing; Say you have a Halifax card and want to balance transfer to another, is it possible to transfer to RBS (as i think they are one and the same aren't they?).Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -

No Halifax is part of HBOS (Halifax Bank of Scotland), soon to be part of Lloyds TSB.
RBS is Royal Bank Of Scotland, a completely separate animal.
So transfers are fine, No problemo :beer:0
