Cant get screen resolution higher pse help

    I'd do a Google search for the specific model you have. I'm assuming it's some sort of LCD TV with a PC input?
    If you find it can do more than 800 x 600 you can go into the advanced settings in the display control panel and unhide screen resolution that Windows thinks it can't handle. If you do try a higher setting, click Apply rather than OK when you've made the change. That way if the screen can't handle it and goes blank it'll revert to the previous settings after 15 seconds.

    OP, if you answer the questions in my previous post, I can help you check your graphics drivers. It sounds to me (at first glance) that it's where the issue lies.

    TS, I've connected lots of PCs to TVs without issue, they have all worked fine. Including my own. Care to elaborate on your statement?
    The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.
