Money Management Software?

Hi,
I have been looking to buy a money management program but cant decide which one.
Quicken and MS Money are the two big boys but it seems both have deserted the UK market, I am not keen on spending my hard earned on something which is already out of date and will only fall further behind as time goes on.
So my question to you guys is.... Have you come across anything that matches up to, or can improve on these programs?

MSMoney abandoned the UK since 2005.
You could pick up a cheap MS Money 2005 from ebay no doubt. I'm not sure what functionality you would be missing out on.0 -
I'm still using Money 2001 very effectively. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Money still works fine. I'm using it on Vista.0

I still use MS Money 2001, it does everything that I want.
I don't think that there is anything to match MS Money.0 -
Thanks for the replies.... My only concern with MS Money is the long term effect. if I am to start using software to manage my finances I have to think about the future, How effective will a program brought out in 2005 be in 2015? if I am unable to update it I worry it will loose its effectivness and I will end up having to look for an alternative anyway.
Its hard to belive there is nothing else out there that compares.0 -
Well its still ok in 2009, anything more takes a crystal ball. Problem is there is nothing better out there.0

I didnt think MS Money 2008 was for the UK market, I was under the impresion that 2005 was the last release over here.
Anyone using anything else or is Money the only option?0
