Recently noticed my post history has dropped to 500. Is this a new thing, I thought before I could access all my posts right back to post #1 ?

Does this mean that all those really useful posts have all been deleted?

I understand it is probably down to space saving. So what rules are you using for post deletions, there is obviously a 500 limit but is there a time limit too? so a user who has a post count of 400, and goes away for a year, will his posts be gone on his return?

No posts have been deleted.

It has always been a limit of 500. This limit applies to all searches on mse - It only ever recovers the last 500 results.

To see earlier results, you can mess around with the Advanced Search - Put your user name in the Search by username area, leave the keyword area blank, then use the controls to restrict the search to a particular forum or time period

e.g. find all posts by Wig but exclude ones from the past 6 months. This will return your older posts
