    i em did the same thing when i was 17 and just starting to cook :o

    i ended up taking them back to the shop and saying the onions were only to be told its just onion juice so embarassing:rotfl::rotfl:
    every one in the shop was laughing at me.but its all good!

  • As we always say there is no such thing as a daft question on here .We have all had to learn and the only way you do is by asking.No worries love we have all done it.No one is born knowing evrything about cooking .I can remember my late husband showing me how to peel a mushroom back in 1962.My Mum had never used them as she didn't like them, so I had never tasted one let alone cooked one.My DD doesn't like bananas, and my DGS Danny has never eaten one in his life, and he is 20.His girlfriend thought this was a hoot
