best way to change euros into sterling

hi,
i have searched forums to see if there is an answhere to this but cannot find anything.
my question is what is the best way to transfer a large sum of euros in ireland into sterling here, any advice would be welcome

    Paypal is usually quite good for foreign currency transactions, as they don't have the charges that banks usually do. I don't know about Euros specifically though.

    PayPal is a bad idea. For large amounts contact one of the UK FX providers such as HiFX MoneyCorp CurrenciesDirect to name just a few.
