The future of BTL

Not nice, but not racist either, I think....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I wouldn't have classed it as racist (and I'm a hairtrigger liberal).0

I am not condoning anything anyone has said here right or wrong.
Here are the facts there is underlying racism in the UK it is not overt like US, France etc. It will always exist however multi cultural we get and however much political correctness is implemented.
However there is also racism in Eastern European countries - one country looks down on another.
As for Poland they have some of the worst football hooligans in the world and they are Neo Nazi linked.
In times of hardship people will always look for scapegoats unless there is a benefit to them from that scapegoat.
We could go into a whole long debate about this and get nowhere.
Also it is simple to make racist type remarks from behind a keyboard and screen - what these people would actually say in public is a completely different matter!0 -
We all know that people are the same where ever you go

Bloody hell!
I thought this sort of outdated State-Socialist claptrap mentality died with Soviet Russia....

We cannot go back to mass, council-run, housing. People didn't care for their homes, paying the rent was well down the list of priorities and council housing was a huge drain on public finances. We need BTL to be part of a modern housing solution. With clearer and improved rights for tenants who pay the rent I think BTL is an attractive option for tenants. My tenant moved from a Housing Association house to my property. I like to think it was because my property is better maintained, has private owners next door and is better managed because I only have one BTL property to worry about.
I'm a Royalist. Off with your heads.

I hope your idea icludes a CAP on rents, Yes the market sets the rental value but some landlords on finding the prospective tenant will be claiming housing benefit strangelly bung another £200 per month on. "FAT CATS" spring to mind:rolleyes: ..0
