Deleting data but not formulae in Excel

I wonder if anyone could help me with this. I want to be able to clear the data in a row or a number of rows but leave the formulae in cells which have them. I've tried Help in Excel and the nearest thing I can see is Edit, Clear, but that just seems to work for clearing everything, formats or comments. I want to leave the formulae behind in the cells.
I'm running Excel 2000 by the way. Thanks.

I don't think there is a way of doing this. My best suggestion is a better structure for the spreadsheet so that the data input section/sheet is away from the calculation and output section. Probably not what you want to hear!0

Although I dont know for sure, but wont protecting the formulae cells allow all the other cells in the row or column to be deleted but leaving the protected cells behind.0

You could delete the cells with number but leave the cells with formulaes untouched.
Click F5, Special button, from New menu select: click the constants option then "OK".
Press "Delete"!0 -
