Hi, I just need a little clarification on the above please. I've been with Tmobile for quite a while now and am no longer under contract. I want to get a new contract with them with my old number. I've got Virgin PAYG sim cards I can use. This is the process as I understand it, please let me know if I'm wrong.

    1. Request PAC from Tmobile and end contract.
    2. Contact Virgin and tell them I want to use old number on PAYG sim. (Does anyone have Virgin's contact details please?)
    3. After a few days contact Virgin and request PAC
    4. Go to T-mobile as a new customer with PAC

Have I missed anything out? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

The above is fine, just wanted to ad some comments
    1. Your contract with t-mobile will end on the day your number transfers to Virgin.
    2. You can contact Virgin on 789 from your Virgin PAYG sim.
    3. Call Virgin when your number has been transferred over, when you can make and recieve calls with the Virgin PAYG Sim

Also if you have a sim that gives you £5 for registering you can take advantage of this too.
    Good luck

I have done this manouevre a few times over the year. However, in the most recent one, I was asked when I ported in. It was OK this time as I ported in three months ago, but I wonder if they start to cordon on...

Don't Orange have a whole advertising campaign about offering existing customers the same as new ones?

When porting numbers you have to remember that the pac code is valid for 30 days, i tried porting from 3 to virgin back to 3 but had to wait 30 days as the first pac code was valid and 3 would not let you port back to them the same pac code they issued

Thanks for your helpful reply MrGreen. I gave Virgin my PAC yesterday, they said it'll take 7 days because they've had lots of requests and their computers can't cope or something to that effect. I'll post again once I have any updates.

I'm sorry, I don't know. I'm using one of the free £5 simcards I got ages ago.
