Tenant flat viewing issue

If you add up the amount of time you've spent posting on here, moaning you haven't the time for prospective tenants to view the property, it's probably longer than it would for the prospective tenants to look around in the first place."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100

I don't understand why so many people are being horrible to the op. I thought this website was to help people, not criticise. If you don't have anything constructive to say, why post anything? All you are doing is upsetting the op and putting off other people from posting in the future."I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." I concur with AlwaysWorking. Premier and Robin Banks often seem to needlessly have a go at posters and make all sorts of wild accusations which OPs then feel obliged to defend themselves against. That sort of thing is best ignored.
Katykatkins - you have the right to say what happens in your home. The landlord/agent may not come round on a whim, may not ignore your refusal to let viewers in when it's inconvenient and have no rights of access unless it's an emergency.
The fact that they are showing non-student tenants around now suggests something odd is going on. Nobody would look at property now if they wanted to move in August unless they are a student. Either the LL is trying to sell or he's considering evicting you and putting in new tenants. If he does give you notice to leave then check it complies with the law and with the terms of your tenancy agreement. Don't be intimidated by them and it's certainly reasonable to insist that 'not convenient' includes any times when your husband is not present.0 -

It is, and that is why I'm wondering why the OP is being so awkward.AlwaysWorking wrote: »I don't understand why so many people are being horrible to the op. By their own admission, this is not the first case of not being able to reach a mutually agreeable compromise and the contents of the posts suggest why.
The best solutions are often found by reaching a compromise not a "I know my rights" approach.
Sadly that's not what our educational system appears to teach anymore
I'm not being horrible, but it seems if you don't agree with everyone that is what you are deemed to be, if not a bully or someother name.
I tell it like I see it. Sorry if you or others don't like it, but I suggest you take advantage of the ignore function if it bothers you that I don't necessarily agree with the unreasonable expections of some on here."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Feel free to add me to your ignore list tooI concur with AlwaysWorking. Premier and Robin Banks often seem to needlessly have a go at posters and make all sorts of wild accusations which OPs then feel obliged to defend themselves against. That sort of thing is best ignored....
I don't do nicey nicey, lets hug an OP nonsense. I tell it like I see it. If I think its a fair point I say so, if I disagree I say that. Where advice is sought I give what I believe to be the best advice, even if that is not what the poster wants to hear. Always have done & always will do.
If you only want comfort & sympathy, you've come to the wrong place, could I recommend the samaritans for that?
Edit: Oh btw, could you specify what these wild accusations are you accuse me of having made?
