Sunshine54, thanks but that didn't work either.

NickMidgley i did what you suggested, yes it worked, but as you said, it can get a bit out of focus. Also when you are looking at quite a few items at a time it would be time consuming. But that is great and i thank you for the information. I will certainly be doing it your way if there is no easier way.

Halloway, i will try what you suggested right now. I open Broadband up on Bt Broadband and not Internet Explorer. Thank you.

Halloway, what do you mean, you are using Firefox and not Internet Explorer? I thought Firefox was something to do with security packages!!!

I think you may be trying to open a Java window showing a larger image.

Do you have any pop-up blockers installed?

If you hover your mouse pointer over one of the images, can you see the site address at the bottom left of the screen? if so, does it mention java?

Or simply give us an example of a page containing the image you want to see closer. Holloway and Nickmidgely have already covered the obvious.

    CHR15, message saying javascript:viewOptions(colours142869bn)

Popup blockers installed!!! I really haven't a clue. I did go on the icon at the top of the page - Tools , pop up blocker and then popup blocker enabled and there is no tick there at the moment, but i have changed that as well prior to today and put a tick, it didn't make any difference.

What you want the website address? It is QVC.

Thats a page I just looked at. If you hover your mouse over the ZOOM IN button and look down at the lower left of the page (just above your Start Button), you will see javascript:ViewOptions('Zoom','560467')

This is a pop up window that will open showing a larger image (as opposed to zooming into the smaller image).

Many things can cause this, do you have Norton installed??
Nortons firewall & pop up blockers can cause mayhem with this type of funcionality.

You could try a different Browser, Firefox for example if you are using IE

EDIT: Just read your reply properly! you already noticed the java notice :)

    Hi CHR15

I went on Internet Explorer but i don't know what you mean by Firefox!

Yes i do have Norton but i used to be able to zoom in. I have always had Norton Security on my laptop, nothing else, that is what is making me wonder why it has all of a sudden stopped working regarding zoom.

When i hover over and see Java etc there is no other window that opens.

Tell me a bit about Firefox please?
  • zooms for me fine when i click the images on qvc.
i too am on bt broadband and have norton and ie7 .
my pop ups are blocked but that didn't stop the large image opening.

you can download fire fox at http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/

its just another web browser but is configured different from ie and may solve this issue
