Need help to Zoom in

Hi

Can anybody help me please. I go on a website and if i want to see an item up close, there is an icon which says Zoom to see a close up of it. When i click on this icon, nothing seems to happen. I don't know why, all i know is, i used to be able to do this but not any more.

I did do a system restore at one point but that said was unable to restore. Could this have anything to do with it?

Waiting in anticipation.

Thanks.

Is it a photo or picture you need to see up close?

Yes, it is a picture. It is actually a shopping site and if you want to see up close what you are buying, then you click on the Zoom or sometimes if you click on the picture itself it still zooms in, but not any more.
  • hold down the ctrl button and rotate the wheel on you mouse

    Zoom in: Ctrl and +
    Zoom out: Ctrl and -
    Default: Ctrl and 0

Sorry Halloway, none of those work.

To get the plus sign, i had to hold ctl and the (black arrow up) above the ctl to get the + sign as it is on the same key as (=)
  • hold down ctrl key and slide your finger up and down the extreme right side of the touch pad

How about right-clicking on the picture and going to "Save picture as..."

Then you can save it to your desktop and open it in Photo Gallery (if you've got Windows) and zoom in using that.

Bear in mind that if it's an image on the web, the resolution won't be all that high so you're unlikely to get much detail if you zoom in too much...

Do you have Fn-operated number pad on your laptop? If so then you should be able to do Ctrl and Fn and + or - on the numberpad. On my laptop the number + is on the ? key and the - is on the ; key.

Oh and I've just thought. I'm using Firefox. I never use IE so apols if that's the browser you are using.
