heads up for anyone on Virgin broadband

Once again they have technical difficulties and there is no email service either direct or by trying to access net mail.

Gosh, we almost went a whole week there without problems this time. :wall:

Aren't they up grading all the lines to take 50Mb though....hence the outages in different areas

Apparently mine went through on the 16th December as I had this:

    Hello there,

You might remember that, a little while ago, an order was placed to
change your Virgin Broadband service. The good news is, it’s all done!
Your improved broadband service is set up and ready to go.

I still usually run at just about 1 meg though.

I cannot access my email either, so I'm relieved it's not just me! Irritatingly, the customer status page is showing as no problem - with "no reported problems".

I had problem s lasting a couple of weeks, before Christmas and all i did to get it working in the end was, emptying the trash box.

Not even webmail is working today, it just loops round, as soon as you sign in you go bakc to the sign in page again. I think you were very sensible to give up on relying on Virgin for email.

Unfortunately no one can delete anything whilst there is no access to net mail.

My fear is that this 'temporary' glitch will last 5 days like it did last time, that was an extremely difficult time trying to run an online business with no access to emails.

It came back briefly this morning but email has died again and the 'sorry we are experiencing technical issues' message is back on the help line.

The trouble is I fear you might be right, and that's what worries me.

It's back again now so I am getting all my emails answered before it dies again.

Like echo, I never use their e/mail service. It never worked properly for me.
