no, he doesn't know yet. He is a panicker and whatever he conjures up in his head won't be as bad as the reality so best not to really.

With the gas being back on now, he can put the fire on in the living room and put both of the little blower heaters in the spare room. With it being a bungalow, at least it is just one floor to heat. There is a pub about 400 metres away which is also a hotel, but to be honest, I think he'll survive. My parents still don't have central heating and it never did me any harm as a kid ;)

Just hope he likes cold showers.............

    *coughs* *looks guilty*

during the week I was on fire, but have completely conked out now:o

    lol -

    I skim read that as

'during the week, I set it on fire'.................I thought - now that is an excellent excuse - 'sorry class, I haven't got your marked work - it caught fire' - better than 'the dog ate it' :rotfl:

  • Sympathies Spud, I bloody hate going, really hate it  I am not phobic but it always makes me feel really cold  I know that sounds odd... I come out a bit shaky and tired.

I have veneers on my front teeth following a childhood accident involving me, a bike, and some concrete. Well yesterday while eating my lunch one of them came off  possibly due to trauma following several months of my DS headbutting me  and an x-ray shows I need root-canal treatment before replacing the veneers. We are talking about £1500 in total _pale_ so no question of me quitting my job just yet at least!

In brighter news I bought NEW BRAS yesterday and it is like having new boobs - burning my old nursing bras, hurrah!

I feel your pain. my dental work(CCdebt) costs 2075. I haven't plucked up the courage to have it done yet. hate the dentist well i love my actual dentist cos he is so patient with the screaming nutter I become!

I should do it, the money is sitting my bank account (0%cc) must do it.

    when you going Daphne?

  • It is a lot but it's my front teeth, I was so miserable with my teeth as a teenager and finally I feel I can smile in pictures... I have to do it. I had my current veneers done about 5 years ago but the cost was a lot less and my mother paid half. The dentist promises they will be really lovely though and the quality of the ones celebs all get. Luckily after doing the maths it looks like we have more money put away for OH's tax bill than we need so it will be okay. But I also need a new car... it's never-ending, isn't it. We also need some furniture, carpets, but I guess it all comes down to priorities. Better to feel the hit than just shove it on credit to worry about later.

Sally - YES definitely! Who exactly are you talking about? :D

YES! Night times only now :) and I am happy to continue for a bit as he is getting molars (I know I have been saying that for a while now!!) and it does seem to ease the pain for him.

But it's such a relief not to wear a horrid nursing bra. It was a very MSE time to go as well as John Lewis had some really pretty bras in the sale :money: I keep sneaking a look :rotfl:

Wow Buffy that is a lot :( at least it will be in stages for me - root canal in two weeks, 250, then wait for the veneers to be made, so I probably have a month in total to find the money. A temporary covering filling was £78! Extortionate. I am with a private dentist because it's either that or NO dentist!
