How much do Tesco pay is staff?
Not enough  :rotfl:
Although I cant complain as I have a very flexible shift pattern that allows me time off for the football (part of career development), don't have to EVER work a Saturday, and because I joined before 2002, I get double time for working Sundays
Little over £8 an hour, working stock control. Extra £1.50 between 22.00 and 00.00 on the night shift, and a bit more between 00.00 and 07.00. Bank holidays are paid and you don't have to work them (or if you do you can get flexi time, and paid for your shift you worked at double time), 6 weeks holiday a year (I think, or it may be 5), 10% staff discount, and a good benefits package, including Save as you earn, Buy as you earn, and tons of other stuff.0 -
i work for tesco and i get £6.688 an hour. time and a half if i work over 37 hours and time and a half for sundays. there are different contracts which depends on the day u join. the benefits are great for non skilled work. night pay works out at £10.80 an hour with premiums. its a good company to work for and they look after their staff0

Off topic but question goes to those who work in Tesco.
It says they have gym membership discounts..
Does anyone know how much it is?
Also how did you get your job at Tesco? (Never seen jobs advertised)
I was thinking of sending in a cover letter with my app form
Saying that am looking for a full time night shift position
Adaptable and flexible with the days and hours of work(Basically and day any time literally)
And can travel to 6 different Tesco locations.0 -
Bl00dy h3ll, I don't think I'll be applying for a supermarket job when my employers finally shut-up-shop in June(ish). I find it disgusting that companies have actively cut their salaries (Sainsburys used to pay £6.60 p/h, but now pay just £6.00) since the introduction of WTC. The attittude now is 'pay nmw and let the WTC people bump it up to £15.5k'. Personnally I think the employers should be billed for 50% of each employees WTC, they would soon increase their wages.Never Knowingly Understood.
