I haven't been inside - it's not an area we are looking at - but yes, the floor plan is totally weird. I would imagine it's a mistake on the part of the person who drew it - if not, surely the house is unsellable! Someone has lavished much care and attention on the kitchen, and I doubt they only ever approached it via the garden ... Or did they. It's tempting to go and see it just to find out, only I haven't got the time. Is quite nice distraction while marking a pile of 150 3500 word essays and another 100 1500 word essays ...Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000

Shame about the layout. It's a lovely property from the outside. I'd go and see it anyway, but then I love period properties. I would have thought if it's been on the market for a year (and a year ago the market wasn't too bad) that there would be room for a much lower offer.
Even in 2007 when it was a total seller's market there were people who were pricing their houses so high that no one would even look at them. Round where I live those same houses are still for sale at the same price that they were on for in summer 07. Madness.0 -
Pretty. That'd get me there to have a look.0

I think it looks gorgeous but the grade II listing would put me off. I doubt you really have to go outside to access the kitchen, or walk through the bathroom to the bedroom - it's probably just EA error. I'd definitely go have a look to find out! One thing that struck me though - bathroom is very small, and getting in and out of a bath under a sloping roof would be tricky for those with mobility problems (which I seem to remember may be an issue for your OH in time?) No possibility to put in a shower either. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

PS Single glazed windows and no central heating in the smallest bedroom (the one with the dodgy dormer) = freezing cold! They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

It's not a house I'm considering - it's not big enough, and there would be all kinds of problems with transport and school zones. But I bet the agent is wondering why all the sudden hits on their site today.
And what IS a heated seat? Why would you want one in the bedroom?Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000 -

It looks to me that you can access the kitchen from the door in the living room under the stairs.0
