  • Craig Tara went through a big refurb last year. This used to be Butlins Ayr. More caravans than chalets, and the chalets are alot further away from the complex.
Southerness is a bit out of the way, near Dumfries. Last time I was down there was a few years ago, and it was looking tired then, but like everywhere else its probably been thro' a refurb.
Sandylands is just outside Saltcoats. Never been there, though I do know a couple of people that own caravans down there and swear by it.
    Hope that helps. :)
  • that does help thank you veryyyyyyyyyy much  xx

    anyone else any advice?

    Grannies always gets great reviews

    Nairn is quieter

And have heard great things about Tummel as well.

Someone i know has a van at Southerness and they love it there, they have been going there for years

    Yes thats where it is

she says there is a great beach for the kids

But personally I would choose Grannies ( very far north though) or Tummel ( which is pretty central)

we have three little ones so it would be soft play, wee walks etc that would appeal to us, nothing too well extensive (3 under 5's) :)

well in that case I dont think it really matters which site then...as far as i am aware all of them have some sort of kiddies playground area anyway.

So really you should be considering what you and your hubby want then........
