House Viewing - can I take photos?

  • You shouldn't feel guilty. I went to a flat viewing and took a notepad and digital camera and took photos and made videos. As a potential buyer you have every right.
  • I really considered this as we did a couple of rounds of viewings totalling 12 properties. My other half forgot to bring her camera down with her so we didn't in the end. Instead we did multiple viewings on a couple that stuck in our minds. Funnily enough the place we have an accepted offer on we didnt feel the need to view again! however, I think i will further down the line AND definitely take photos just to be able to plan. Also will do some measuring of my own for ordering furniture etc.

Just to add to the general consensus - definitely take pictures. Infact, if you have digital camera use the video function too, as pictures sometime don't give you an adequate sense of depth, space etc.

But of course it's polite just to ask beforehand. They're unlikely to say no unless they're obtuse.
