milsna,
You will get trojans as you have not paid so will not be able to receive updates. As new viruses etc. are being created all the time you need to update your antivirus regularly. Have a look at the sticky thread at the top of this board "Security-Free", there are choices of free antiviruses on there. If the Norton that you have was antivirus plus firewall (?) you will need to make sure you get both.Torgwen.....................

another vote for Zone Alarm
also got the Windows one running...never know of this is a good thing or not...they don't seem to conflict ???♥♥♥ Genius - 1% inspiration and 99% doing what your mother told you. ♥♥♥0 -
Zonealarm for me.
And in the opinion of most of those in the know, the Windows Firewall is not worth the effort. Although it's better than nothing at all, it's not generally advised to run it in addition to another firewall.0 -

For instance, on the Symantec Website looking at the product descriptions, some versions have a firewall and antivirus included (and some are just antivirus and a firewall is purchased seperately). It depends on which product you have bought. Have a look at the Norton icon and see what info you can get from there to check what you have got.Torgwen.....................
