Problems with my Sony W910i

My phone has started playing up today, basically switching itself. Battery is at about 35% but tried charging it just know and got a message saying "battery cannot be charged, you must use a sony ericsson battery". I have had the phone for several months and this is the first time this has happened. Anyone had anything similar happen to them ?

my boyfriend has this phone and wishes he never got it, although he likes the phone, the problems he's had. Switching it's self off, not letting him into his inbox, deleted all his data in his phone (luckly his contacts were saved to his sim). Take it for repair imo, where did you get it from? Not heard about the battery problem before. But with switching itself off would be a software problem.

Got the phone with my Orange contract. I have done a master reset which seems to have done the trick for now anyway - it's now charging !
