3 day week in the pipeline 1 day for one production line and 2 day for another. 300 workers up the road.
I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

P.S. the other week I know someone who picked up an 08 plate with 800 miles on the clock for low £40's (this is a n £88k car).
my interference: a mate bought an AM 5yrs ago (2yrs old) and was shot of it last yr.

'never', he intoned, 'buy one of these beasts until you've made your 1st mill - the garage bills are unbelievable'.

he didn't go into further comment and I didn't ask. I didn't need to: I'd got the vibes. he did, though, mention the service bill and my ears bled.

im pretty sure the service/insurance bill for any car of that calibre would make your ears bleed!!

i dont think theres anything more british than an Aston, every englishman should grow up with the desire to make his way in life and own one one day.

Each to their own really. I would never spend anything like that kind of money on a car. No matter how much money I had. Ever. Especially whilst they are depreciating at the rate they are at the moment.

agreed, but I'll allow the petrolheads to enjoy their their moment -especially if they can pick up a uber motor for peanuts! let them have that, surely!!

Yeah, at least it would keep some of the automotive industry in work and they are quite nice to look at.

I'm not saying I don't like fast cars, I've just bought a brand new Vectra 2.8V6.

It cost less than a quarter of the £25,455 the avis website just quoted me to hire an AM DB9 coupe for 8 weeks.
  • Well im 27 and my insurance is under £800 fully comp. So insurance isnt so bad on an AM if you have a clean record.

Servicing is expensive, averaging £900-£1500 for a proper AM service.

Faults, are fine as long as you keep up the warranty, which on a car like this you MUST DO.... £1200 a year.

So yes its not cheap, but its also not terrible news if your sensible about things (as sensible as you can be when owning an AM).
