Yes, quite agree ...3 phone calls will very often give 3 different answers !!
Just make sure you note date time and csa name of the answer you like the best !;)
The RodentMy posts are my opinion which is neither right nor wrong.0 -
Ok I read the T&Cs over the weekend and there was nothing in there which stated what the cheques could and couldn't be used for. The only "condition" in there is that you mustn't exceed 95% of your credit limit. As well as the usual stuff about promotion reverting to standard rate if you miss a payment.
So fingers crossed, it'll be ok.
Thanks for your replies.0 -
Good luck Jen! Hope it works out. I've just phoned the call centre again and got a different answer so I don't know what to do now! I'm wondering whether to go into the branch for a third opinion.....Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

I've received cheque too, I can't see anything that says you cannot pay yourself, only cannot be used to pay other Barclaycard accounts.
Also double check though as I'm sure it's 90% of your available balance NOT 95% - you don't want to get caught out :eek:0 -
I paid this into my account yesterday so fingers crossed!0

Well I have reopened this thread so I wiil continue and see if anyone has used these to pay into there account.
I received some for 12 months @ 0% and it doesnt say anything on the accompanying letter whether one can use them this way or as an ordinary cheque. It does say that one will not receive protection under section 75 of the consumer credit act if later there is a dispute, and that purchse delivery protection does not apply to purchases made with ccc's.
I interpret from that, that one can use them for payment of goods. It also says on there website here: http://www.barclaycard.co.uk/personal-home/credit-guidance/credit-card-guide/how-much-will-my-credit-card-cost-me/index.html
What about credit card cheque fees?
We may send you credit card cheques. You can use these to pay off other credit cards or loans, or pay them into your bank account as a convenient way of borrowing money.
But i cant find anything in theT & C's, I could phone CSO but with past experience I have got conflicting information.
thanks0
