Cheap pink GHD's

  • I bought my sister a pair here

    http://www.beautysleuth.co.uk/beautysleuth-hair-straighteners

for £95, or £100 after delivery. She's a hairdresser, and seems happy with them, though she hasn't had them long.
  • We just ordered ours from jasonshankey.co.uk for £98 with a range of free gifts plus quidco!
  • Can people please stop posting links to straighteners? There was another thread recently discussing GHDs and the like and I managed to resist and now this one. This site is supposed to be money saving and I find myself spending a fortune! I am going to walk away from the laptop now and hope this thread has sunk into the depths by the time I get back :rotfl:

I've used beautybay lots and lots of times before to buy my hair products. I have no problem in reccomending them.

I've used Beauty Bay quite a few times in the past and they were great for me too
  • I know someone who's BF bought her genuine Pink GHDs for Christmas. She says they are absolutely rubbish compared to her last GHDs and even worse when she compares them to the Babyliss Pro 230s she borrowed off a friend to try.

Why do so many people think that spending £130 on straighteners is necessary?

OK, I'm biased, I have the Babyliss ones. I've had them over two years, my hair is very fine and prone to damage. It's naturally wavy, gets washed and straightened nearly every day (and stays straight) and my hairdresser has commented on how good the condition of my hair is. Not bad considering it was in terrible condition a year ago (after a bad experience with a Toni & Guy colourist). In fact I ordered myself another set when Amazon had them for £24 ..... and they come with a 5-year guarantee. There's a true bargain for you!

  • I got mine from the Lookfantastic website. Not pink ones but regular black for £95 with a heatproof mat, however they do stock pink and purple. They came the next day. :D

Why don't you buy them on Amazon????
96.99 and nectar points plus easy returns and free delivery! ;)

Ah ha! someone to answer my question: on your babylis straighteners, do the barrals heat up on the outside?
  • They get slightly warm but I certainly wouldn't say they heat up on the outside.

The only time I've ever burnt myself is when I've been stupid enough to catch my ear instead of my hair with the plates. :rotfl:

I agree with jenny wren, they do warm up on the outside but not enough to burn yourself, not even uncomfortable to touch.

The thing with GHDs is this........it's just a name, a good name granted but are they really the best that's out there? I think not! As I said in an earlier post, my eldest bought herself pink ones and these are her second pair or GHds, she got GHDs(which are now broken  ) when they first came out and at that time they probably were the best on the market but other makes have upped their game and some makes are now equal if not better imo. I can understand people wanting GHDs, its just like UGG boots, some people have to have them no matter what and those UGG style boots in the shops will not do
