Powergen - Fantastic!

Options
Why do people always post bad news and never good news?

I have been with Powergen for several years and have never had any issues with them. I also know several other people that use them and have never experienced any problems either.

I think that there is bad in every company, but unfortunately people seem to go out of there way to highlight bad news, but never the good news.

Why, why, why?
Stay lucky!

  • Boy am I please to read these posts! I found the other powergen thread saying how bad they are the day after I signed up with them. I was wondering if it was going to be the shortest ever transfer going

I've been with Powergen for about a year now, and everything has been fine. They upped my DD from £40 to £60, but compared to my British Gas bill this is still cheaper.. We'll see after the winter how it worked out compared to BG, but so far so good. But certainly no problems to report.

The problems mainly seem to be with switching, and not everyone has problems with this.
If you have had good service from them and are happy with their prices then stick with them.

You`re right there is something good to say about Pgen.
After two long years of phoning, complaining and finally threatening to report them to EnergyWatch.
(which,if I had known how effective this would have been,I should have done in the first place).
I have finally received a bill that was on time, the correct readings and the correct discount!
I would like to believe that they have got their act together, but I don`t.
    Anymore c0ck-ups
    EnergyWatch here I come.

absolutely, energywatch is my second port of call if they mess up.. but so far so good. and they are saving me plenty to boot...

so first c0ck up... i shall phone/email them, if that doesnt sort it, energywatch is next.

must admit i am still nervous about pgen, and keep a close eye on my meter readings etc... but at the mo ill stay..

Been with Powergen for several years...initially problems with E7 cancellation, but no concerns since. Neighbours however recently switched to Npower Green and Powergen were very slow in supplying info to them.
Comparison services say Equigas are cheaper for me by £30 a year so am getting readings up to date in case of a move.
And Powergen/Age Concern billing is so complicated it would be nice to see a straightforward invoice. For example,I get a discount called 'Price increase Winter Rebate as per letter'. (What letter, never had a letter about this.
£5 something b eing a third of the discount amount. Sounds like a bribe to stay with them. Not complaining, but I think they are under pressure with so many customers leaving.
