my car is playing up, so was late for work as had to borrow my mums car... less than impressed!
the thing is, it started ok, i left it running to warm up after de-icing it... when i got back in it, the dashboard lights were off... now i know they should have been on cause the side lights were on and i'd put them on see the heater controls, as easier to see when lit....
anyway at this point it was still running okay, but thinking it would help relight the dash, i switched it off and on again, except it wouldn't restart.... dead as a dodo!
Any ideas anyone?
Similar thing happened on monday but my taking out key, locking sterring wheel, locking doors, and reopening all it started okay. Big G reckons the immobiliser had done something, so relocking sorted it... but i think it's more sinister than that..... pah!!
It's a VW Gold, V6 - fyi, in case anyone does know....
i'm going to see if there is a motoring board on here too and post there if there is........
sounds electrical/computer related to me...26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Morning all, happy Friday! I'm off work again, still in bed and coughing like mad but ho hum! All your romantic rebound stories are making me sniffle just a little bit
and also scaring me slightly as I think I might be falling out of one relationship straight into another
When will I ever learn to be sensible? :rotfl:

I never did:rolleyes:I think one of the reasons it worked for me is because I didn't go into the relationship with any expectations of more than a fling. (In fact I was looking forward to being single for a while!) As a result I wasn't analysing what was said or not said/done and just enjoyed each moment for what it was. He thought I was really cool and laid back and, having discussed it later on he said that because he didn't feel under pressure to 'tick boxes' and prove his feelings he was relaxed and able to enjoy our time together without worrying he'd said/done or not said/done something to upset me:p . . .
Phew it gets complicated doesn't it - I so don't miss dating, especially as my Hubbles is romantical (and horny) as though we were in that first flush even now when I look like the side of a bus and waddle like a penquin:rotfl:26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Grrr wrote a big post then lost it, hate stupid mobile internet, must fix laptop! Anyway, I know what you mean about analysing everything Luc, have got so used to chaos and uncertainty with ex (I say ex but he's refusing to accept it and I am finding it hard knowing I'm hurting him). Things with potential new bloke seem so straightforward though, we like each other and we both want to give it a go with no big expectations. The lack of chaos feels weird though!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

I think with ex you just need to cut him off. It is hard to think you're hurting someone but it'll be worse in the long run if you allow him to continue to trouble you.
And the lack of chaos does take some getting used to:p
btw - do you think menu planning is a constructive use of my time at work???:rolleyes:26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

You're probably right about the ex, I'd like to think we could be friends in the long run, but maybe not. He is being very persistent at the moment and I'm probably making it worse by trying to soften the blow. Menu planning is definitely very productiveDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

might as well - not got anything else to do work wise... You might even stick to it better than we do:p Of the plan I did for last week we managed to stick to 1 lunch & 1 dinner and they weren't on the planned days:rotfl: (breakfast is always one of 2 things (cereal or toast & fruit) Mon-Fri so don't really plan that, just weekend ones as we tend to have fresh baking or bacon and eggs etc)26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073
