So.........is there anyone else out there that has a balance almost the same as fellow challengee - can you squeeze a little more out to match it?

I'd love to try and match your balance curlygirl, but I fear paying off over £100k in one hit might not be possible :)

    If only it were..... :rotfl:

  • No 194 reporting in a balance on £92460.26. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to make any more overpayments for the foreseeable future as I'm getting an £8-10k reduction in pay as they switch us from on call to shifts :( which basically means I do the same thing for a lot less money. Ah well I'll keep plodding forwards....

Yes a 1/4 of my wages. I think I should be OK but not savings or mortgage overpaying for me! I will keep plodding on and overpay when I can but just not as frequently as I like!

  • I think it's clear that for lots of people things are beginning to bite - the only saving grace for those on this forum is that we are all probably in a much better place than if we had done nothing!

Curlygirl your not the only one who does that either!! We do too and I have always been happy to declare that to them. It all helps the motivation.

Latest position for us as of tonight £14,974 :j:j:j

Decided to sell some shares we had having grown very tired of seeing the amount of fluctuation on price. This would have been fine if we were looking to the long term but we had always planned to use them on the mortgage so decision was easy. Timed it well and happy with the price.

If we continue with the same DD payment ( which we have not dropped since being on over £140,000) my spreadsheet now says Jul 2013 to finish, but we are still aiming to make it for the end of this challenge.

Lots of spending next year but we still hope to make it.

Can't wait to see the combined results :T:T

Thanks once again to FB :T
