    Only two Lunar Eclipse and plzhelpmesave have been kind enough to post back that they would like to leave. So, with 2 definitely out and the remaining 48 not responding, I've decided to have a spring clean!

    The above 50 numbers become spare, identified as ### Spare Slot ### in the charts and post #1 of this thread.

    I've PM'd Sophi who originally asked to join the challenge at this half way point, offering her first pick of any of the free slots.

    Alternatively, if you're reading this and would like to join for the remainder of the challenge, please post here with:

    * Your forum user name
    * The challenger number you would like
    * Your mortgage objective for the remaining part of the challenge.

    If I've not picked up your request within a few days, nudge me with a PM and I'll get you added in.

    Financial Bliss.

    £208 OP'd today. Not sure of balance yet but it will be under £32k. Daily interest is now around the £3.10 mark.

    Just because I'm sad I've worked out that:-

    57.01% of my OP's are financed by regular income (ie An OP is an item in my monthly budget and then any amounts I've not spent from Current Account or surplus on savings gets swept up as an OP) and

    42.99% of my OP's are financed by sources of extra income (Performance bonus, cashback earnings, banking rewards, Interest earned on savings).

    Infact since January 2010 around £646 has been OP'd thanks to 'being bothered'*

    *Someone close to me can't be bothered to use cashback sites, can't be bothered to move money from one account to another to maximise interest, can't be bothered to collect clubcard/nectar points, can't be bothered to cycle £1k through their Halifax reward account to earn £5........IT DRIVES ME INSANE

    Okay back to work to earn those OP's
  • Hang in there Black Taxi.

    Good to see some of our challengers back - I can't believe how fast 2011 is going, so I'm sure some will be back not realising they're missing out on our fun!

    My normal overpayment has gone to the offset savings account, should find out if I'm being offered voluntary redundancy next week - then a tough decision to make on whether to go, and if I do want to go, when. The longer I can keep my salary coming in, then more I can pay down the mortgage, but the less time I spend in my lovely home as I work away. And I'm absolutely knackered by working away.

    Will let you know and ask if you'd be kind enough to help with the though process when I know any more!
