The Mortgage Free in Three - Take 2 challenge (MFiT-T2)

I'm the same with this sentiment. I have been put down to work every weekend in July. I have emailed the top 2 bods on the ward and politely pointed out the unfair treatment given to some staff when others are working no weekends. I have finished the email by saying that they must contact me to tell me "which" weekend I am having off in July, not, "whether I'm allowed a weekend off in July". If I do have to go to the unions, I will. No more walk over for me. I had this a couple of years ago where I had to work every weekend in July. Not happening again. Lol! How did we slip that far down? I suppose I'm as guilty as the next man for not coming on here and updating regularly and only think to check in when it goes bold on my subscriptions
.
My car is hideously poorly sick at the moment to the extent where DH said to just get rid of it. If I do just get rid of it, I will be wanting to trade it in against a newish car with 4 or 5 years 0% finance. That would then have a knock on effect on our mortgage free date I suspect. I only want a very little car with really low tax costs. I suppose it's down to what the individual suppliers have at the time. I was going to keep my 53 plate until the mortgage is gone. Shall think on!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
I know the feeling in replacing cars - my lovely little W reg has been mine from new, always looked after, and I'm sad it won't last forever. Lots of non-essential bits (like the driver's window!) don't work anymore, but I love it and will keep repairing it until it makes no sense. People don't seem to understand that I channel all my money into the house instead of nice cars!Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0

Shame the scrappage scheme has come to an end. That offered a very good deal.RosieTiger - Highest £242,000 Feb 2004

It did if you could afford to buy a brand new car. Most places will still give up to £2k part exchange on most cars though. One thing I have noticed is that second hand cars of the old banger variety have shot up in price since the scrappage scheme. Another way in which we have screwed over the younger generation.
The waste of all those thousands of cars which have to be scrapped when they are still perfectly good cars is sinfulDebt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

I'll be brave and take some responsibility there...
I've failed miserably to post chart 07 - this is normally published on the day the current chart gets released.
As we published chart 06 on 12th June and it's nearly the end of June, I think I'll have to get organised.
There's also some updates to process. I'll get both done tonight.
