Tattycath - I think you only get cashback on your first grocery order.

Template - let me see what I can do........mine's a bit complicated! I'll get back to you

Organisation - shame I'm not the same about housework and other areas of my life!

ps think that was a great excerise to give your kids - even if it didn't quite work out for one.

With the continuing push on inclusion of bio fuels into our petrol and diesel, it's almost certain that prices will never go back as low as they were. The government is also not too keen on losing out on it's duty rates, remember he put in a tax on North Sea oil production to pay for his duty reduction this time. Justification offered was the large profits made by oil companies. of course he failed to mention that the VAT value also goes up with higher prices and didn't give that back!!!

all helps, no apology needed for me anyway. :)

I think the debate you were having was interesting as it's probably a symptom of the current times we are in. I suppose we are all having these debates ourselves!

The new combo boiler cost against future savings and the pay delivery charges for groceries to avoid adding extras to the trolley are for me key questions on the MF journey.

It all comes down to making common sense decisions that work for you. We opt to OP as soon as my wages hit as this amount will ALWAYS be higher than what we would manage to have left at month end, so that works for us. Equally, I understand if others prefer to make sure they have the money at month end before OPing.

It's only just struck me that the next chart will be the half way point on this quest. Things seem to be feeling tighter for everyone but that's maybe understandable at this stage in the journey. Great to see debates on how best to keep it going, let's make sure we continue to support each other to make it to our individual goals.

    true--rosie

when i started MF3-dec 2009--i had it all figured out to be clear 12/12/12 easy
but there are so many unknows which i didnt know about

    1.price of fuel
2.taxi--o/t stopped plus i lost fri/shift(but more job security)
    3.unexpected an expected bills(a lot)

good news thou---when 12/12/12 comes i will have paid off over 50%
a target every 3 years is good even if you dont make it--u see progress

if i never started this challenge i would prob be still owing 48k with loans on top

now im two months away from paying off 9k bank loan saving £370 a month(ya beauty)

leaving me with only mortgage part of debt

you think you will never see light end of tunnel but after 12/12/12 alot of us will have come a long way
