Well done Desperate Housewife, i cant believe we are coming up to our 1st Anniversary 12/12/10 and the amount we are all managing to overpay, this site really is good for morale i pop on here and get inspired to 'find' another £50 here and there to add, good luck to all we are all doing well will soon be 12/12/12£14, 500 to go0

I haven't been on in a while but I still have the MFI3 date in mind and still hope to pay it off by the December 2012.
Barclays/Woolwich have changed the way they do things and mucked up my mortgage payments, so I've lost track a bit. I'd paid into Barclays but it was moved to Woolwich and my payments 'got lost' somewhere. I think they're all on the new one now but need to wait for my mortgage statement to come through and will post then what has been paid/overpaid.0 -
Hi, I've updated chart 3. Not very accurate as I've become confused with savings towards mortgage/mortgage payments and what I've dipped into for house move. Will be sorted soon!0

We are still chipping away at ours and are now down to £73k - we should see the 60s before the year's end:j0

Once I know exact amoounts i will get things updated and we will go from there. I was aiming to OP 20k within the 3 years and that is still my plan overall but now my os mortgage will be 95k and npt 30k

Morning All,
I've just popped the payroll report off to our Finance Department for the October salary run.
As a health warning, normal feelings of frustration at waiting on the money hitting the bank to make an overpayment are heightened dramatically when it comes to the final overpayment!! I wish I could sit back and relax but we're seriously considering buying a decent sized piece of land in the next few months which will require a new mortgage. The prospect of that is upsetting me already!!
Cheers,

Been away for a few weeks as wedding fast approaches (5 sleeps), but just managed to colour another brick on our house so now under 152k. It's doubtful that we'll make it below 150k by Christmas and i thinik we'll end up about £500 over. All in all it will have been a great year for us MFW wise.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Following on from some recent debates around being MF as opposed to being Mortgage minus savings = MF, we have now opted for the latter.
Aim now is to pay off when it makes sense. We have done some of this recently and should the interest rate make it sensible to do so, we will again.
Target now is to become nett MF and to do so by the end of this challenge - which is a big change from the one we had of getting to £65,000 !!!!
But, we are going for it!RosieTiger - Highest £242,000 Feb 2004
